People in Sheffield got the chance to share their experiences of homelessness as part of an awareness drive.
The Cathedral Archer Project set up a sofa outside the cathedral to raise awareness of the ‘hidden’ homelessness of people sleeping on friends’ settees, and invited passers-by to pose for photos for World Homeless Day.
Ruby Baker, marketing and development assistant for the project, said: “It went well. People posed with a whiteboard and said what they wanted to change about homelessness.
“The best thing was hearing people’s experiences and raising awareness of ‘sofa surfing’, a form of homelessness people don’t always think about.”
