The task for the Sharks tonight is simple – beat Leicester Riders and book a place in the final against current BBL Championship leaders Newcastle Eagles.

TJ Robinson scored a pull up jump shot in the dying moments to secure a 79-79 at Leicester in the first leg meaning winner takes all at the EIS tonight.

“We know this is a big game and we know what we have to do,” Lyons said. “If we win we go through, it’s that simple.

“We just have to concentrate on having a good 40 minutes.”

Robinson and Jerrold Brooks are likely to be key to the Sharks’ hopes this evening, having combined for 51 points in the first leg.

Robinson also chipped in with nine rebounds while Brooks created five assists.

Leicester’s biggest threat comes from cup specialist TrayVonn Wright. He contributed a double-double with a team high 22 points and ten rebounds in the first leg.

Wright managed 19 points against Sheffield earlier in the season. His league average stands at a little more than seven points but he has excelled in the cup with 14.75 points per game.

Sharks guard Colin Sing said: “Leicester are structured, each players has their role and they understand each other’s game.”

Awaiting the winner is the menacing task of a Newcastle side that has lost just twice this season.
