The Sharks have shaken off a sluggish start to the season with a superb run of form to reach the top four in the BBL Championship for the first time this year.

They will be desperate to avenge a late home loss to Worcester the last time these two sides met in November.

After that narrow defeat, coach Atiba Lyons was far from pleased with his side.

“We definitely are inconsistent in a lot of places defensively and offensively, but we’ve got the right kind of mindset for a team and I think we’ll be alright” he said.

Coach Lyons will be a much happier man now as Sheffield have won four league games on the bounce and five in all competitions, playing Lyons’ famed stingy defence in the process.

Sharks will not have it so easy against Wolves however, as they have won three of their last four games and sit one spot above Sharks in the standings.

When asked about his expectations for the season back in November, Coach Lyons said: “We’re definitely going to try and get top four and hopefully win some silverware.”

Since that interview, Sheffield’s run has seen them leap from tenth position in the BBL Championship table to fourth spot.

Despite losing to Leicester Riders in the BBL Cup, Sharks are in prime position in the BBL Championship and are still in the running for multiple trophies.

John Barber has come back into the Sharks fold recently, adding to the great play of Jerrold Brooks, Mike Cook and T.J. Robinson on this winning run of games.

Barber and company will need to be in fine form on Friday in what could be a crucial statement match between two of the BBL’s elite teams.a
