The Arches Dance Performance takes place annually and brings together over 400 performers from schools and local clubs in Sheffield to perform dance routines to a chosen theme. This year’s theme is to be ‘Dancing through the Ages’.

The event is organised by the Arches School Sport Partnership. The partnership operates as a social enterprise and works with over 40 schools in Sheffield to develop high quality sport and physical education in different forms.

There are many sporting events that take place throughout the school year, but this week’s Arches Dance Performance is one of the main activities to showcase work going on behind the scenes.

The Arches SSP staff work with teachers to devise schemes of work linked with their curriculum, and help to create routines.
