Sheffield school sends 15 students to Cambridge and Oxford after A Level joy

Fifteen students at a single Sheffield school have gained places at Oxford and Cambridge universities.

The success in last week’s A Level results more than doubles Tapton School’s previous record of six places in 2010.

Head of sixth form, Andrew Wright, said: “This means eight percent of our 200 university applicants are going to Oxford and Cambridge. Along with all other successful applications, these achievements confirm Tapton students are right to be ambitious.’
