After months of preparation, the trio took the plunge from Hibaldstow Airfield recently, jumping from 15,000 feet to raise £1,762.

Craig said: “It’s something I’d never done before, and it was incredibly daunting at first but it was an amazing experience and all for a very worthwhile cause.

“The cause is very close to the academies’ collective heart. We’d like to thank everyone who has donated and supported us throughout.”

The skydive was just the latest in a long line of fundraising activities the school have carried out in support of Weston Park, which have also including bake sales and non-uniform days and have helped to raise £9,627 for the charity.

“Their dedication and perseverance to complete the jump shows how committed they are to making a difference to the lives of local cancer patients. It is an incredible challenge to take on and we are so grateful for their support.”
