A Sheffield school has issued a warning about a flasher spotted this afternoon.

South Yorkshire Police said reports of the man exposing himself in Cat Lane woods, Heeley, were received at 12.30pm today.

CRIME: No link to shooting and stabbing close to Sheffield park
The force said there were a number of witnesses to the incident.

A spokeswoman said: "At around 12.30pm this afternoon officers responded to reports witnesses had seen a man expose himself on Cat Lane, Sheffield.

"Enquiries are currently ongoing."

Carfield Primary School sent a message to parents in the wake of the incident.

It said: "It has been reported to the school that there is a male adult acting inappropriately in Cat Lane Woods at the top of Upper Albert Road.

"Please be mindful of this and stay away from the woods if possible.

"The police have been notified."
