Sheffield road closed off after three-vehicle smash

Emergency services were called out to a three-vehicle crash along a Sheffield road this evening.

The collision happened on Oldfield Road in Stannington around 6.10pm where emergency services attended minutes after.

A grey Ford Transit van, a black Seat Ibiza and a black BMW were involved in the smash.

Star reporter Alex Evans was at the scene.

He said: “I heard a loud screech and a massive bang.

“I went outside to see what was happening and I saw bits of car all over the road. It doesn’t appear anyone has been hurt.”

The 81 First bus services and the Stagecoach Supertram Link 2 are being diverted.

South Yorkshire Police has been contacted for a comment.
