Sheffield residents find burglar in their kitchen
Residents of a house in Sheffield found a burglar in their kitchen after they heard a smashing sound and went to investigate.
South Yorkshire Police said the residents, from Stannington, were watching television when they heard a noise and went to check what it was.
They found a burglar in their kitchen who fled when confronted.
The crook struck at 7.30pm on Friday.
An investigation is underway.
