Luxury homes will soon be springing up on the site of a former Sheffield reservoir.

Sheffield Council has granted planning permission for the five properties on Carsick Hill Road, Fulwood.

Work is scheduled to start in the coming weeks, with the first of the four and five bedroom houses to be finished within a year.

The houses are being developed by Keyland Developments and housebuilder Conroy Brook.

Sheffield-based Axis architects designed the natural stone homes, which will have slate roofs.

The companies are also working together on other housing projects for redundant reservoir sites around the region.
