Sheffield remembrance service for children

A DRAGONFLY-themed service of remembrance is being held at Sheffield Children’s Hospital for parents who have lost children.

A wall-sized dragonfly mural of memories and photographs will be created by families and staff invited to come together for the annual service on Sunday, March 3.

Sister Kathy Green, lead chaplain at the trust, said: “This is an important service to give families, friends and staff the chance to remember the children they have loved and to reflect on the precious time and thoughts they have shared with them.

“We hold this service each year to remember the children who continue to be a part of our thoughts and to give families the chance to meet others who have been through a similar experience.”

Services are in the hospital chapel on D floor, Blue Wing, from 1pm.
