Sheffield rail passengers facing delays

Morning rail commuters are facing delays as signalling problems cause disruption around Sheffield.

Signalling problems at Barnsley are disrupting trains between Sheffield and Huddersfield and Wakefield Kirkgate.

Passengers have been warned that trains are currently unable to run between Meadowhall and Wakefield Westgate.

Sheffield to Leeds via Barnsley services will divert via Wakefield Westgate

Sheffield to Huddersfield services may be cancelled or delayed by up to 20 minutes, this is expected to continue until 9am.

Replacement road transport has been requested but there is no estimate for arrival at present.
