YOUNGSTERS who swapped numeracy and literacy lessons for a drugs awareness course have been presented with certificates.

Year 6 pupils at William Levick Primary School, Dronfield, completed a 10-week course in which they were taught about the dangers of drugs, tobacco and alcohol and given the skills to make the right choices to help keep healthy.

The course was funded by the Rotary Club of Drone Valley and children staged a drama production at the end, to show what they had learned.
