Staff and customers at the Porter Brook on Ecclesall Road in Sheffield have raised £3,168 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The cash was raised at a 24 hour ‘indoor triathlon’, where 24 team members and customers took part in six hours of rowing, six hours of running and a final stretch of 12 hours of cycling, all under the roof of the pub.

It takes the amount the pub has raised to over £11,000 in 18 months.

Team members Luke Davis and John-Paul Johnson had their chests waxed and assistant manager, Patrick West, stood in the docks and allowed customers to gunge him.

Russell Peckett, manager of the Porter Brook, said: “The team and our generous customers are right behind the charity partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support and I would like to thank everybody for helping us raise this amount.”
