The Three Feathers, in Darnall, and its surrounds were the scene of 11 reported fights or assaults between January this year and April 2016, according to police.

The most recent happened on January 12 this year, when police say they received a report of three men with baseball bats beating another man at the rear of the pub, in Bowden Wood Crescent.

The victim was severely injured, sustaining a deep cut to his face, and South Yorkshire Police said in its application for a review that the investigation was ongoing.

Someone was also glassed while a children's football presentation took place at the pub last May, glasses were thrown during a fight last August and a 10-person brawl broke out in the pub's car park last March, according to a catalogue of reported violence set out by SYP's licensing enforcement officer Cheryl Topham.

Ms Topham says in her application that the licensee only kept a month-by-month incident log, so had no record of any trouble taking place more than a month ago.

"I am concerned that the licensee is not in full control of events or customers at the premises," she states.

Sheffield Safeguarding Children Board has also raised concerns about the pub, following reports of a party at the pub where children were present 'escalating out of control'.

Members of Sheffield Council's licensing sub-committee, who have the power to revoke licences, are due to consider the review next Thursday (March 16).

The Star attempted to contact the pub on Friday but there was no answer.
