One man knocked on the pensioner’s door, which he went to answer as two other men smashed a window and got into the property.

The trio threatened the man and demanded money - with one, described as wearing a blue hooded jacket, threatening the victim with a gun.

They inflicted what police describe as ‘minor injuries’ on the OAP, before fleeing the property with money.

A spokesman for South Yorkshire Police said: “Do you recognise the man pictured? Did you see a group of men behaving suspiciously in the High Green area on that Saturday afternoon?”
