A Sheffield park has been damaged by vandals.

Hollinsend Park in Gleadless has had its play area, trees and a bin damaged.

Some graffiti has also been daubed around the park.

A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: "The Friends of Hollinsend Park group has reported a considerable amount of damage which has been caused to the games area and also some trees and a bin within the park.

"The trees appear to have been damaged to the point where they will not regrow and the bin has been set on fire. The offenders have also left some graffiti."

Anyone with information should call South Yorkshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
