Sheffield is one of the best cities in the UK to look for a new job, according to research.
Job search website CV- Library said advertised vacancies in the city jumped by 21 per cent in May - making Sheffield the third best city for growth in the UK last month.
Only Nottingham with 21.6 per cent and Brighton with 23.3 per cent were higher.
Lee Biggins, founder and managing director of CV-Library, said: "It’s great to see business confidence in Sheffield is remaining strong, with job vacancies increasing across the city. Summer is just around the corner and there are plenty of opportunities out there for local job hunters, looking for work in the area.”
In addition, average salaries across the city also saw an increase last month, rising by 7.4 per cent. Sheffield was also one of the few UK cities to see a rise in applications, increasing by 4.5 per cent.
