The Sheffield Health & Social Care NHS Foundation Trust which specialises in elderly care, mental health issues and drug and alcohol dependency, has improved its' rating since it was last inspected by the Care Quality Commission.
The Trust's management, care, effectiveness and responsiveness was rated 'Good' but inspectors said safety needed to improve in some areas.
SHSCT was told it needed to make urgent improvements following a comprehensive inspection back in 2014 but the latest report shows the Trust now has an overall 'Good' rating.

Deputy chief inspector of hospitals and lead for mental health, Dr Paul Lelliott said: “Following our original inspection in 2014, we asked Sheffield Health and Social Care NHS Foundation Trust to make changes to improve the consistency of care it provided across a number of services. Although there were pockets of outstanding care, we also found areas where improvements were needed.
“It is clear that the trust has acted on the findings of our initial inspection and this is reflected in the improved quality of care we found this time round.
“We came across many examples where patient experience have improved, and services are much more responsive to the needs of people using them.
“We were impressed with the improvements we saw, and the staff at Sheffield Health and Social Care NHS Foundation Trust should be pleased with their enhanced rating."
The CQC said the trust 'must ensure' it complies with guidance on same sex accommodation in all of its inpatient services and 'all areas used for patient care in the rehabilitation service are clean'.
Trust chief executive Kevan Taylor said: "I am very proud of the way that our staff, service users and carers have worked together to bring about this improvement and I am delighted that we are now rated as 'Good' overall.
"I am also delighted that the inspectors found that our staff treat service users and carers with compassion and respect.
