The group, who call themselves the ‘most unlikely marathon team ever’, are raising money for Weston Park Cancer Charity and Cavendish Cancer Care in memory of Sarah Nulty who passed away last summer.

Part of the team include The Leadmill staff, who said: “As many of you know, Sheffield hero and Tramlines director Sarah Nulty passed away last year, so alongside an Avengers-style team of Sheffield promoters, DJs, musicians and bar folk, we’re running a half marathon in her memory.

“We’re all terribly unfit with most of our diets consisting of takeaway pizza and Curly Wurlys so please give what you can.”

In a statement on their fundraising page, the team said: “Sarah was a huge inspiration to us all and left an indelible mark on this city and our lives. She loved to keep fit and would have found us all attempting to do this absolutely hilarious.”

So far the group have raised a total of £4,946.25, and counting. To donate, go to https://mydonate.bt.com/teams/bemorenulty

Sheffield half-marathon will take place on April 14.
