Sheffield MP Paul Blomfield has raised nearly £1,300 for Sheffield homeless charity The Cathedral Archer Project.
Mr Blomfield, and three members of his staff, collected the funds after taking part in a sponsored five mile walk recently, from Endcliffe Park along the Porter Valley. The ‘Walk In My Shoes’ event was organised by the Cathedral Archer Project.
The Cathedral Archer Project is a day centre helping homeless people to change their lives. It provides 1:1 support, volunteering opportunities, crisis support, showers, laundry and hot meals.
Mr Blomfield, a long-time supporter of charity, said: “I’m really pleased we raised so much money for this amazing charity. I’d like to thank everyone who donated. This money will help transform the lives of people in this city.”
