A widow accused of murdering her lover phoned a Sheffield man from the scene of the killing, jurors have been told.
Angela Dowling’s son Andrew says he was watching a film with 50-year-old Mark Bingham, of Fishponds Road West, Woodthorpe, when Bingham’s phone rang.
It was Dowling who, prosecutors say, was waiting in her car while two other men murdered her Scottish fiance Alan Easton, 50, on a farm track near Doncaster a year ago.
Mr Easton’s stabbed and battered body was found in a shallow grave in a ditch. It is believed he was buried alive.
Angela Dowling, from Conisbrough, denies murder - as does Bingham and Matthew Duffy, 23, from Balby.
Dowling’s lodger, Stephen Schofield, 31, has admitted murder.
The trial at Nottingham Crown Court continues.
