Sheffield man missing from home for a month

A Sheffield man has now been missing from home for a month.

Neil Slaney, aged 41, was reported missing on Sunday, November 15 and although there have been sightings of him since he has not been seen now for over 10 days.

South Yorkshire Police said officers and Mr Slaney’s family were ‘growing increasingly concerned for his welfare’.

The last possible sighting of him was at some shops in Dodworth, Barnsley, but he has not been seen or heard from since.

Detective Chief Inspector Steve Whittaker said: “Neil’s family are incredibly worried for his welfare. He has not been seen for over ten days now and we really need to hear from him that he is okay.

“Neil, if you read this, please get in touch with your family, friends or call the police to let us know that you are safe and well.

“I’d also ask that anyone who has seen Neil or who knows where he might be to get in touch with us.”

Mr Slaney is white, 5ft 10ins tall and slim build.

Officers believe he was carrying some sort of bag or rucksack when he went missing.

He has links to the Chapeltown area of Sheffield and Huddersfield.
