A Sheffield man died when his car crashed into a lamppost and burst into flames.

“We are appealing for witnesses to the crash, in particular a lorry driver, who was travelling a short distance behind the car when it left the road.”

Detective Sergeant Ged Hazelwood, from Nottinghamshire Police’s serious collision investigation unit, said: “This person may have crucial information that may help to explain what caused the car to leave the road.”
