A Sheffield man has been charged with attempted murder after a man was taken to hospital with gunshot wounds.

Keilam Whinfrey, aged 25, of Morland Road, Gleadless Valley, has been charged with the attempted murder of a 41-year-old man and possession of a firearm.

Levi Walker, aged 26, of Hazlebarrow Crescent, Jordanthorpe, Sheffield, has been charged with witness intimidation and possession with intent to supply cannabis.

Police were called to Lowedges Road, Lowedges, Sheffield, on Sunday, May 17, at about 1.30am, after reports of a gun being fired.

A man was found there with a number of wounds, including a gunshot wound to his leg, and was taken to hospital.

The two men were arrested yesterday, Sunday, July 5, and are due to appear at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, Tuesday, July 7.
