Sheffield man charged after pawnbroker 'ram raid' and axe threats

A Sheffield man who allegedly 'ram raided' a pawnbrokers before threatening staff with an axe has been charged by police.

27-year-old Jack Bush, of Southey Green Road, was charged in connection to an incident on Saturday, April 7, when the Cash Converters store on Holme Lane was broken into after a car was driven into it.

The shop worker inside the store was subsequently threatened with an axe.

Bush was charged with one count of burglary, criminal damage, causing fear or provocation of violence, possession of an offensive weapon, driving otherwise in accordance with a licence and having no insurance.

He is also charged with receiving stolen goods and theft, in connection to separate incidents on Saturday, April 7.

Bush appeared before Sheffield Magistrates Court yesterday (Thursday 12 April) where he was remanded into custody to appear before Crown Court on Thursday 3 May.
