Sheffield Lord Mayor urges people to have annual flu jab

Sheffield Lord Mayor, Councillor Talib Hussain, is urging people to have their yearly flu jab.

The jabs are being offered to the over 65s, pregnant women and those with an underlying health issue, such as diabetes or lung disease.

Coun Hussain said: “It’s really important that people take the time to get the flu jab this year to avoid catching it and passing it on to those who are more vulnerable.

“Traditionally those deemed as ‘at risk’ would visit their local GP for a jab, but can now go to their local pharmacy to have it done.”
