Sheffield landlord harassed tenant by bombarding him with texts
Nilendu Das sent 10 texts in just three minutes on one occasion to a tenant in Cemetery Avenue, in Sharrow, a court heard.
The 49-year-old, of Carter Knowle Avenue, in Ecclesall, disturbed him at night and while he was working, leaving him fearful he would get the sack, with some of the messages telling him he must leave.

Hide AdDas admitted harassing the tenant in Cemetery Avenue and also pleaded guilty to four health and safety breaches relating to another home in Sackville Road, Crookes, where damaged fire doors and faulty fire alarm systems were among the fire hazards found.
He was sentenced at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court last Tuesday, where he was ordered to pay £1,100 in fines and compensation, plus costs and other charges which brought the total bill to £2,412. He was also ordered to undertake 180 hours of unpaid community work.
Das had previously been convicted of similar offences, and in 2013 he was sentenced to 49 days’ imprisonment.
Sheffield Council’s housing chief, Councillor Jayne Dunn, said: "I am determined to carry on clamping down on the very small minority of bad landlords in Sheffield that treat their tenants badly and tarnish the private rented sector."
