Sheffield Ladies basketball team look forward to end-of-season play-offs

Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters are looking forward to the Women's Britsh Basketball play-off quarter finals on Saturday.

Hatters will face Team Northumbria at the O2, with a 3pm tip off.

The Hatters clash sets the ball rolling as clubs fight it out to make the climax of the 2017/18 season.

After the Hatters showdown, Nottingham Wildcates will face Manchester Mystics while Sunday sees Leicester Riders pitched against Caledonian Pride.

Monday matches Sevenoaks Suns against Cardiff Met Archers.

Meanwhile, the Hatters lost out 69-77 to Leicester Riders .

Leicester may have missed out on the title to Sevenoaks, but underlined how they will be a major threat in the play-offs after they wrapped up their best ever Regular Season with a victory.

Krumesh Patel and his side were runners-up with a superb 19-1 record and have the added momentum of having won on the road at third-placed Hatters.

Leading scorers for the Hatters were Helen Naylor 22, Steph Gandy 17 and Jen Ashton 13.

It was a one-shot game at 64-67 with five minutes remaining, but 8 unanswered points took the game away from Hatters.

Riders were on fire from long range and dropped 62 per cent after racking up 10 triples.
