Sheffield holidaymaker burgled

A Sheffield holidaymaker was burgled while their house was empty.

The holidaymaker's neighbour heard a loud bang and called South Yorkshire Police.

When police arrived at the property in Kilvington Crescent, Woodthorpe, officers discovered that the rear door lock had been forced.

Officers in Sheffield are also investigating a burglary in Thornbridge Drive, Frecheville, in which jewellery stolen.

Homes have also been broken into in Occupation Lane, Hackenthorpe; Stalker Lees Road, Sharrow Vale; Burlington Road, Dore and Holkham Rise, Whirlow.
