Students will be marked towards their degree on the outcome of their events.

Gemma Bower, community fundraiser at The Children’s Hospital Charity, said: “Every year we are bowled over by the amazing ideas the events management students come up with. Their fundraising enables us to keep Sheffield Children’s Hospital at the forefront of paediatric care, with funds in previous years having made huge contributions to the development of a new hospital.

“Over the past two years, students on the course have raised £20,000 for our charity’s Make it Better new wing appeal. That means they are well on course for achieving their target of £25,000 which will pay for a private bedroom for a poorly child.”

Course leader, Jane Tattershall, said: “All of the events have been fully organised by our students as part of their final year assessment.”
