A SHEFFIELD gym has reopened after an eight-week refurbishment programme.

The Fitness Unlimited gym at Hillsborough Leisure Centre, on Penistone Road, has been expanded and now boasts more cardio-vascular and resistance equipment.

Sheffield International Venues, which runs the gym, has also increased the capacity of gym classes to 100 and will now run 95 classes a week at the venue.

Peter Clark, Fitness Unlimited manager, said: “We take great pride in our award-winning customer service and a bigger gym was something which our 6,000 members have consistently asked for.

“The venue is incredibly popular and well used and we are delighted to have been able to build on its high standards and success with this major expansion.

“The Technogym equipment we’ve invested in is not only unique to South Yorkshire but it was also first used in the Olympic village at London 2012 and used by Team GB athletes.

“The cardio vascular machines have interactive screens to help members monitor progress.”
