Sheffield gains from international students

A new study showing that Sheffield Central benefits more from the economic contribution of international students than any other constituency in the country has been welcomed by local MP Paul Blomfield.

The study shows that 2,456 international students who started their studies in the constituency in 2015/16 will contribute £226.0 million each year to the economy for the duration of their studies - equivalent to £1,961 per constituent per annum in Sheffield Central.
