Women have just one more week left to join florist and owner of The Dandelion Clock in Fulwood Lucy Ashton for the Against Breast Cancer fundraiser.

Lucy, now 46, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015 and underwent a course of treatment including a mastectomy and reconstruction,  chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

Speaking about it Lucy said: "I lost my relationship, my home, my financial security and my business. My life was reduced to wreckage and over the last three years I have had to totally re-build.  I now have a new home, a new partner and I have re-opened and re-built my florist business - my lovely shop celebrates its 8th birthday in October - and its 2nd "re-birthday" too,

"Unfortunately, the reconstruction which I had done three years ago has not been as successful as hoped however, and October will also see me back in for more surgery. It took me some time to come to terms with having to face more surgery, more hospital appointments and the reminders of the awful struggle I went though, even though this time, as many people did point out "Well at least it's not the cancer back again."

"I decided however that I wanted to celebrate how far I have come during my recovery, and I came across a charity organisation called Against Breast Cancer which recycles no longer wanted bras to generate funding for research into developing treatment and hopefully one day a vaccine against the disease.

Residents have until the end of the month to drop bras off in person at the shop at The Dandelion Clock,  Brooklands Avenue, Fullwood, Sheffield, S10 4GA or by post.

The Dandelion Clock will also be selling a range of gorgeous pink "Beat Bloomin' Breast Cancer" bouquets, with 10% of the proceeds going to the charity Against Breast Cancer
