Sheffield firm offers work to homeless people

A Sheffield firm is offering work and training opportunities to homeless people in Sheffield.

Gripple Ltd, which manufactures wire fasteners, is working with city charity Emmaus Sheffield, which provides homeless people with accommodation and a place to work and train, to help them become self supporting.

Emmaus Community Manager, Graham Bostock, said: “We are delighted that Gripple has shown faith in our organisation and offered us this chance to work with them.

“This project will mean a huge difference to the life of the charity as it provides a valuable source of income and also gives the companions a valuable and real opportunity to gain genuine work experience.”

Earlier this year Gripple helped the charity pay for a £200,000 extension.
