Sheffield FC all set to face Welsh wizard R Giggs!

SHEFFIELD FC was facing a will-o'-the-wisp Welsh winger called R Giggs in Manchester this afternoon.

Rhodri Giggs is brother of Manchester United superstar Ryan and plays with a very similar style for UniBond First Division North side Curzon Ashton. Giggs was this month released by FC United of Manchester, the breakaway fans’ team. He scored his first goal for Curzon in a friendly on Tuesday against Bacup.

Sheffield visit the Tameside Stadium (2pm) where Manchester City reserves won 3-1 recently. For Sheffield, it is the last of 10 pre-season friendlies before the real action starts in the UniBond Northern Premier League at home to Grantham Town, next Saturday.
