Husky pup Koba was snatched from his home in Woodhouse last month - and his owners launched a massive campaign to get him back safe and sound, using social media to spread the word.

Now a Facebook group devoted to finding the cute canine has revealed that Koba has been reunited with owner Tracey Hughes, thanks to a "knight in shining armour."

Under the heading "KOBA IS HOME - WE DID IT - YOU DID ITâ—â—â—" a message read: "You are all amazing. Every one of you out there who took time to share on Facebook, talk to others, actively look out for husky puppies and inform us of dates, times and places of sightings. People put up posters for us and searched the streets.

"We had so many messages of love and encouragement to stay positive. This has been an experience we will never forget, for more reasons than just losing our puppy.

"People have been tremendous. I didn't even know that there were so many genuine people out there.

"I cannot even express our feelings for the one stranger who was a knight in shining armour and without whom we would never have got Koba back. It has been a traumatic time and we just want to spend time with our baby boy.

"Thank you to all of you."

Koba was stolen from a garden in Stone Lane in Woodhouse on October 27. A £500 reward was offered by the family for his safe return.
