MUSLIMS from different backgrounds joined together to celebrate Eid.
The call went out asking members of the community to celebrate together at a Eid Ul Fitr festival in Darnall Community Park.
More than 1,200 people gathered to celebrate the end of Ramadan.
Organiser Mothiur Shahin Rehman said: “Usually different groups of British Muslims representing countries such as Bangladesh, India and Pakistan celebrate separately. It was nice to see so many people turn up.
“The weather was amazing, the atmosphere was buzzing and there was a feel of spirituality and energy amongst the worshippers.”
