Sheffield drivers warned over roadwork disruption

Drivers and bus passengers in Sheffield are being warned to expect disruption this week as a result of planned work on multiple city roads.

Travel South Yorkshire today tweeted about three roads that will be affected this week, impacting 15 bus services. These are:

Hemsworth Road will be closed between the junctions of Warminster Road and Bunting Nook for further utility works Monday 30th April (2200) until (0600) Tuesday 1st May 2018.

This will affect services 18 and 20.

London Road will be closed between the junctions of St Mary’s Gate and Woodhead Road for carriageway resurfacing work from Tuesday 1st May until Thursday 3rd May 2018 (1900 – 0700 each night). This also means that Boston Street will also be closed during this time.

This will affect services 3/3a/4/4a/20/43/44/75/76/86/97/98/218.

The SCC Streets Ahead team have also tweeted about five additional closures which may affect road users. These are:

Ecclesall Road closed tonight (April 30 - May 1) for road resurfacing works, 7pm to 7am from the junction of Ringinglow Road to Dobcroft Road. Road will be closed and diversions in place.

The following roads will be resurfaced tomorrow (May 1): Glencoe Drive & Place, Grafton Street then onto Glencoe Road. Parking restrictions & Rd closures will be in place from 7am-7pm. Please help our team by finding alternative parking.
