Sheffield dog rescued from cruel owners needs a home

Have your say

Cute crossbreed Snowy is hoping a new loving owner will bring some sunshine into her life after she endured a terrible ordeal.

The two-year-old pooch arrived at the RSPCA Sheffield branch with her siblings as part of an appalling cruelty investigation.

Snowy is hoping to find her forever home.

Acting animal care manager at the branch, Tammy Wilson says that Snowy is now in need of some tender loving care to get her back up on her paws so she can start life afresh.

“Snowy was living with 14 other dogs in appalling conditions and with other welfare issues when she was rescued from her terrible plight,” said Tammy.

“Her owners admitted causing unnecessary suffering and were given 12 weeks jail suspended for 12 months, a curfew, each had to pay costs of over £500 and each were banned from keeping animals for life.

“But that was only the start of the story for Snowy as she is still waiting for her happy ending of a new, loving, permanent home.

“Fortunately, the majority of the dogs in this case were rehomed, but a few are still waiting for that special forever owner to find them, including Snowy.”

RSPCA staff caring for Snowy say they are looking for a home where she can get lots of support to continue to grow in confidence.
