A Sheffield Council spokesman said: “If you’re out taking your dog for daily exercise please help keep our parks and green spaces healthy places for everyone. Most dog owners are still cleaning up after their dogs; please make sure you do too.

“Dog waste and dual use bins are being emptied so please use these wherever they are available. Where there are no bins, we remind dog owners that it is still your responsibility to pick up your dog’s waste and dispose of it safely.
