The controversial sale of a dilapidated cottage on the edge of Graves Park will go ahead, after Sheffield Council was given the all-clear by charity bosses.
Selling Cobnar Cottage, on Cobnar Road, Norton Lees, will raise around £80,000 to improve facilities in the park, the council believes.
The original decision to sell the building was taken in 2013 - however, the Friends of Graves Park group opposed the move.
The matter was eventually referred to the Charity Commision, which confirmed the council - as trustees of the Graves Park Charity - should have the final say.
Sioned-Mair Richards, cabinet member for neighbourhoods, said potential improvements to the park could include sports facilities, footpaths and play areas.
