The new show, which starts on Monday, involves 12 previous winners competing each week in a Masterchef-style contest hosted by Come Dine With Me’s commentator Dave Lamb.

The show was filmed at a country house in Derbyshire and participants were judged by Michelin-starred chef Glynn Purnell, of Purnell’s in Birmingham.

Jude is an erotic novelist. Her fourth book, A Passion for Classic Cars, is published this summer.

“Despite the hilarity it was a tough competition,” said Jude, who appears on Monday and next Friday’s episodes. “We were presented with ingredients and told what to make with no recipes, you had to know what you were doing and it was all against the clock.”
