Three train conductors from Sheffield prove they were all heart when it was full steam ahead on their bikes for a sponsored charity ride.

Paul Cartledge, Pete Thornton and Ian Duke, of First TransPennine Express, joined four colleagues from Cleethorpes for the British Heart Foundation.

After reading about different rides and routes, they decided to cycle from Manchester to Blackpool through the night.

Following regular training sessions to build up their stamina, they left the Trafford Centre in high spirits and reached Blackpool Tower in just three hours and 44 minutes

They raised £1000 between them. FTPE supported their ride by donating £500.
