A bike which was stolen in Sheffield city centre has been reunited with its owner thanks to the quick actions of police officers.

The bike was stolen from the Moor last night after thieves broke the owner's lock.

However, police said thanks to excellent teamwork between city centre PCSOs and Special Officers, the bike was quickly found and reunited with its owner.

PCSO Craig Holmes said: "This was an excellent outcome and a great example of different departments working together to keep you safe.

"Advice was given to the keeper who unfortunately only had a cheap lock which was easily snapped.

"When purchasing any bike locks remember that cheap locks can sometimes mean cheap quality."
