Sheffield church to mark its centenary

Have your say

CENTENARY celebrations are taking place at a Sheffield church - including a service for all couples who have married there and entertainment from a vicar specialising in circus tricks.

An appeal is being made for couples who have tied the knot over the years at St Chad’s Church, Woodseats, to attend a celebration service on Saturday, June 9.

The church is also holding a summer fair on Saturday, June 30, on the church field and a pie and pea supper. The following day, there will be a service at the church featuring Rev Roly Bain, an expert in tricks ranging from juggling to tightrope walking.

Other events include a flower and art festival in September.
