Sheffield charity needs cash to help homeless

Sheffield’s homeless charity for young people, Roundabout, has received a major boost to its campaign to refurbish one of its facilities.

Roundabout supports 150 homeless young people every day and has the only emergency hostel in Sheffield for 16 to 21-year-olds.

The charity needs to raise money to refurbish the property next door to its emergency hostel in Highfield, which provides five self-contained flats and a longer term home for eight young people.

It has now received the support of draw9, the website for people looking for local tradespeople.

Every time a tradesperson pays to advertise on the draw9 website, using ‘ROUNDABOUT’, a donation will be made to the charity.

Ruth Gage, from Roundabout, said money is needed for new heating, kitchens and re-decoration.
