The annual Sheffield Charity Construction Ball, which was held at Sheffield City Hall on October 12, was attended by around 250 people.

Nick Beecroft, from Sheffield-based architects HLM who helped organise the event, said: "On behalf of our co-organisers and our main sponsors we would like to say a very big ‘thank you’ to everyone that made the event such a success.

“We know that every penny raised will be used by Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice to help the charity continue to provide high levels of care. We’re delighted to have been able to play a small part in the on-going success of this very deserving charity.”

Along with HLM, the event was organised by engineering consultancy firm Arup and cost management consultants Rider Levett Bucknall. It was sponsored by Kier Construction and Counter Context.
