Sheffield charity appeals for sponsors to help retired greyhounds

A Sheffield charity is looking for new sponsors for its retired greyhounds this Christmas.

Dogs at the Sheffield branch of the Retired Greyhound Trust can be sponsored as Christmas presents.

Lynda and Roy Cattlin have managed the trust’s farm at Gosling Moor, Wortley, since it was founded in 2006.

Now the trust, which is subsidised by Owlerton Greyhound Stadium, is looking for new sponsors to join the list of 10 returning sponsors supporting retired greyhounds during their transition from racing life to a new home.

Lynda, sanctuary manager, said: “If someone is unable to adopt a dog, sponsoring is one of the best ways possible to help and it also makes for an ideal Christmas gift.”
