The Burngreave bantamweight’s handlers are negotiating to fly in Emmanuel Quartey from Ghana, to head the bill at Sheffield City Hall on April 30.

Quartey has ferocious punching power. Of his 20 wins he has stopped all but one opponent.

On the other hand, he has lost twice...and been KO’d on both occasions.

Chris Smedley, who helps manage Fazeldin’s affairs, said the fight was a dangerous one to take for the 23-year-old Sheffield fighter.

“Quartey can certainly punch” he said. “To stop so many opponents tells you he is an explosive competitor.

“In his last fight, Quartey beat Isaac Nettey (also from Ghana) who has been in with Kid Galahad, so that tells you the company he keeps.

“But Muheeb is prepared to fight anybody; he has been training hard with Ryan Rhodes and has been developing his own power.”

Fazeldin had to pull out of a scheduled Commonwealth title fight with South African Klaas Mboyane after re-injuring a middle-knuckle, in sparring.

Attempts to re-organise a contest with Mboyane, who beat Sheffield’s Ross Burkinshaw a year ago, proved unsuccessful, which gave Quartey his big chance at the title.

Quartey has fought outside Ghana once, a loss in 2013 in South Africa.

Meanwhile, Conisbrough heavyweight is touting for business on twitter - calling out David Price and Shannon Briggs.
